The Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection (MoGCSP) is offering free breast and general medical screening to the public as part of activities marking Breast Cancer Awareness Month, popularly known as Pink October.
The exercise, which runs from October 19 to 28, 2026, on weekdays only, will take place at the Ministry’s old building from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. each day.
Services available include breast cancer screening, blood pressure and blood sugar checks, general medical consultations, and health education.
The initiative seeks to encourage early detection of breast cancer and other health conditions, while providing the public with information to make informed decisions about their health.
The Ministry is urging the public, particularly women, to take advantage of the opportunity to get screened and learn more about breast cancer prevention and early detection.
It has also encouraged people to spread the word among family members, friends, and colleagues so more people can benefit from the exercise.
The Ministry stressed that early detection is key to saving lives and urged the public to prioritise their health.
