Ghana and Germany are exploring ways to deepen cooperation in technical and vocational education to equip young people with practical skills and improve their job prospects.
The discussions took place when the Minister for Education, Haruna Iddrisu, met the German Ambassador to Ghana, H.E. Frederik Landshöft, to discuss ways of strengthening collaboration between the two countries in education, particularly Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET).
The meeting highlighted the importance of international partnerships in developing a skilled workforce capable of meeting the changing demands of the labour market.
Iddrisu emphasised the need for strategic collaboration to advance Ghana’s education agenda, improve learning outcomes, and strengthen employability through skills training that responds to industry needs.
The engagement reflects Ghana’s commitment to working with development partners, including Germany, to expand opportunities for education and skills development.
Through sustained cooperation, both countries aim to support initiatives that give young people relevant competencies, strengthen workforce productivity, and contribute to Ghana’s national development.
