The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has taken delivery of 45 military utility vehicles as part of the government’s ongoing retooling programme to strengthen operational readiness and improve troop mobility.
The vehicles were handed over to the GAF on Friday, October 16, 2026, to enhance the military’s capacity to effectively carry out its constitutional mandate.
The fleet comprises 15 KIA utility vehicles, 15 four-by-four vehicles and 15 six-by-six Troop Carrying Vehicles (TCVs).

The new vehicles are expected to improve troop transportation, facilitate movement across difficult terrain and enable the Army to respond more quickly to operational demands.
The delivery forms part of the government’s broader efforts to modernise the Ghana Armed Forces, strengthen national security and enhance the military’s capacity to protect Ghana’s territorial integrity.]
