The Calculated Attack On Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia Must Stop

There is a deliberate and well-calculated attempt to soil the hard-earned image of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, and it is becoming too obvious to ignore.

From the top hierarchy of the NDC to the lowest foot-soldier, there is an unhealthy fixation on our Flagbearer. Their stock in trade is to rain all manner of vile and unprintable insults on him at every opportunity.

Just monitor their posture on social media, on television, and on radio. Instead of focusing on the governance they promised Ghanaians, they have channeled all their energy, time, and resources into attacking the revered Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

This, clearly, is the modus operandi of this insensitive government led by President John Dramani Mahama and his cohorts.

It does not end there. They have now resorted to sponsoring some supposed men of God to make negative prophecies about Dr. Bawumia's future. This is nothing but an intentional and mischievous strategy to dent his reputation as the best and most impactful Vice President Ghana has ever produced.

Let us not forget: As Vice President, Dr. Bawumia elevated the Office of the Vice Presidency and made it one of real value and relevance. He championed innovative, people-centered initiatives that transformed Ghana's digital economy.

In fact, many of those laudable initiatives are now being rebranded and claimed by this same government as their own.

It is therefore worrying that the NDC, which made lofty promises and is now struggling to fulfill them, would rather spend its time insulting Dr. Bawumia than delivering on its mandate.

This is not surprising. Before the 2024 elections, they unleashed their babies with sharp teeth to malign and vilify Dr. Bawumia. They believe they can extend that same tired tactic into the 2028 elections.

That must not be allowed.
In my candid opinion, the time has come for our beloved New Patriotic Party (NPP) to rise and fiercely protect our Flagbearer. We must respond in equal measure to every attack from the NDC.

In conclusion, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia represents the face, the hope, and the future of our party. We cannot sit aloof while they chastise and lambast him with derogatory remarks.

The time to act is now.
