We want to see your personal records and achievements in office as Governor, Vice President and President. These politicians are so bold to double down on what the whole world already knows about them, challenging informed Nigerians to bring out any evidence of money laundering or corruption. Stop the insults, abuses, hate and fake promises. Haba!
Where are Atiku’s U.S abettors U.S Rep. Jefferson or girlfriend; Tinubu’s Mueez Akande co-indictment and Obi’s drug mule Chinenye Ezewuzie hidden? Nigerians must not be distracted by those that have failed to deliver while in public offices. They are all fighting for the key to our Treasury. All we are settling for at this point is the least of all the devils. Nigerians shine your eyes well O.
Political cronies are a bunch of political embezzlers from former Attorney General Malami, Petroleum Minister Dezeani, Governor of Central Bank Emefiele, Ekiti Governor Ayo Fayose, to Father Christmas Dansuki point to unprecedented avarice. They all have penchants for building Estates all over the world, acquiring luxury cars and going on exotic vacations without any guilt about the Environmental Oil degradation of Niger Delta farms swamps that lay golden eggs.
The poor and working-class masses watch as many of the people they elected do the macabre dances celebrating in the midst of Poverty. Calls for more states and local governments only increased politicians to boost the number of kleptomaniacs exponentially. Any allocation is pocketed by the first opportunist before it reaches the people for which the benefit is directed. Even infrastructures are inflated beyond any reasonable profit. Preferably in foreign contracts.
Nigerian politicians are happy to create jobs in foreign countries by borrowing money using future oil production and foreign reserves as collateral. As the debt balloons beyond the ability of the country to pay, the infrastructures built by foreigners with foreign loans are taken over like the Chinese did in some East African countries. The rationale that the United States is the worst debtor in the world does not hold because their debt is in dollars printed as they want in the U.S.
Such kleptomania is unfathomable in the history of African cultures. Most of these people were already comfortable in their individual professions before they wade their way into politics. Take Dezeani Allison Madueke for example. This lady grew up in an upper middle class or rich family. She attended all the right schools at home and abroad and landed a comfortable job in the Oil Company leading her to the top. Now, what else does she want?
The others made so much money; they did not know when to stop. They kept on gouging more loot like a hungry squirrel keeping more food than they can eat. Meanwhile, their people were and are still languishing in poverty not knowing where their next meal is going to come from. Such deliberate indifference is inhuman denoting inhumanity of man to man. Yet, angry Nigerians take their pound of flesh out of poor hungry people that steal in the markets.
Self-aggrandizement without their blood and sweat is at the expense of hard working masses and natural resources that belong to all, not just a few that got elected one way or the other. It is mind bugling why people would love to see their people suffer while they enjoy it. It takes a masochist spirit to see fellow Africans in melancholy without fear of being attacked, consumed or stoned because they give pittance as stomach infrastructure.
While everyone has their choice of preferred candidate, which is their free choice, one must wonder why anyone has to hold his nose to vote for the least corrupt candidate. It is not that we do not have well known activists that have dedicated their lives right from college to the betterment of their fellow men and the country. Unfortunately, none of them register appreciable votes in every election. Though they continually contest for elections.
Even worse, the deliberate indifference to how politicians acquire billionaire status has attracted dare devils in the population that graduated into banditry extorting ransom from the working class and abet with the same politicians to loot the Treasury. Bandits kidnap people and name their price. The politicians negotiate on their behalf, double or triple the amount of ransom demanded and pocket the rest. Who is going to hold them responsible?
The so-called men of God are not left out of the rush to cash in. They are in the business of creating fake miracles, predicting calamity and asking for pledges, tithes, supporting one political party or the other for their congregations to vote for. In return, politicians ask for their support, prayers and loyalty so that they can be elected. If pastors and imams cannot get what they sought from politicians, they start predicting losers of elections or deaths.
These Pastors and Imams also clamor for pilgrimages to their so-called holy lands demanding sponsorships from Federal and local governments. Rather than creating jobs, there are more churches and mosques than factories. Churches sing that Jesus was a rich man and they want to be millionaires and billionaires like Jesus. When asked why they need private jets and luxury cars to preach in towns and villages without motorable cars and airports. They go deaf!
The reliance on promised foreign investment is ironic since they laundered more foreign currencies abroad than the amount of money the foreign investors bring into the country. Only fools think only outsiders can develop their country while they loot the same country blind. They partner with any foreign investor to take a lion share of the profit prompting some of the foreign investors to back out like Atlantic Airways did, killing Nigeria/Atlantic Airways.
Even Dagote, the richest African now admits nobody can make Africa great but us. The loot most of these politicians waste on their Nepo-children, side-kicks abroad also pay for foreign taxes as their localand national taxes to develop the foreign schools, hospitals and infrastructure they refuse to provide in their country in Nigeria.
We have to ask ourselves individually how and what drove us to the point of producing these politicians out of our individual families. Those who tried and failed to get elected or appointed into political offices where they can divert allocation into their pockets, try other nefarious ways like rituals, drug dealings and even selling their organs. Apart from trying desperately to cross deserts and seas risking their lives in the hands of Arab slave traders.
