
Hon. Dr. Akwasi Opong-Fosu, an aspiring National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has extended his warmest wishes to all aspirants contesting the party’s Regional Executive Elections as nominations open.
In a goodwill message, Dr. Opong-Fosu commended all party members who have offered themselves for service, describing their decision as a demonstration of commitment and dedication to the growth and development of the NDC.
He said the party’s internal elections remain an important part of its democratic tradition, providing an opportunity to strengthen party structures, renew leadership and deepen participation at all levels.
Dr. Opong-Fosu urged all aspirants and their supporters to conduct their campaigns with respect, discipline and a strong sense of unity throughout the electioneering period.
He reminded party members that despite the competition, they remain part of one NDC family and share a collective responsibility to consolidate the party’s gains and build stronger structures towards victory.
The NDC National Chairman hopeful expressed the hope that the electoral process would be peaceful, transparent and credible, reflecting the democratic values of the party.
He also prayed that the elections would be free, fair and successful across all regions, without rancour or acrimony.
Dr. Opong-Fosu stressed that irrespective of the outcome, the NDC must emerge from the Regional Executive Elections stronger, more united and better positioned to achieve its objectives.
