The Office of the Assemblyman for Bake-Gbloefe Electoral Area has expressed profound appreciation to the Agbogbomefia of Asogli State, Togbe Afede XIV, for recognising the contributions of Hon. Richard Ahiafor to the development of the Volta Region.
Togbe Afede XIV acknowledged Hon. Ahiafor's role in the writing of a 20-year development agenda for the Volta Region, which was presented at the just-ended Economic Forum held at the Ho Technical University. The Office described the recognition from the highly respected traditional leader as timely and deeply encouraging.
In a statement signed by its spokesperson, Eric Nunekpeku, the Office noted that the acknowledgement serves as motivation to continue pursuing ideas and initiatives that contribute meaningfully to the development of communities and the Volta Region as a whole. It said the honour was received with humility and gratitude.
According to the statement, for Hon. Ahiafor, service to the people has always been about more than holding a position, but about being available, listening to the people, identifying their needs and working together to find practical solutions. As Assemblyman for Bake-Gbloefe, it said, he remains committed to supporting community development and dedicating his time, energy and resources towards the wellbeing of his constituents.
The Office added that while there is still much work to be done, Hon. Ahiafor's commitment to service remains firm, and the recognition by Togbe Afede is a reminder that dedication to community and meaningful service can make a difference.
The statement further disclosed that Hon. Ahiafor has expressed interest in serving at a broader level through his intention to contest for the position of Chairman of the NDC Ho Central Constituency. It said his interest is guided by the same values that have shaped his community service - unity, accountability, accessibility, inclusion and service to all.
His vision, the statement said, is to work with delegates, branch executives, ward coordinators, elders, women, youth and all stakeholders to build a stronger and more united constituency. It stressed that the journey is not merely about seeking a position but about bringing people together, strengthening grassroots participation and creating an environment where everyone feels valued and heard.
Reaffirming Hon. Ahiafor's commitment to responsible leadership, the Office once again extended sincere appreciation to Togbe Afede XIV for the encouragement, describing it as motivation to continue working for the common good of the people.
