Several residents of Bunkpurugu in the North East Region have sustained injuries following alleged assaults by military personnel deployed to the area.
The residents claim the soldiers have been using a curfew imposed in the community amid a chieftaincy dispute to enter homes, assault residents and damage property.
About four injured persons are currently receiving treatment at the Bunkpurugu District Hospital, according to residents.
Families of the victims and other community members are calling for an end to what they describe as military brutalities and are demanding justice for those who have allegedly been assaulted and injured.
The circumstances surrounding the alleged incidents remain unclear, with residents calling for the matter to be investigated.
