Dennis Miracles Aboagye has been confirmed as the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) Director of Communications after going unopposed in the national executive elections.
He takes over from Richard Ahiagbah as the NPP's communications director, following his confirmation at the party's National Delegates Conference in Kumasi on Saturday, October 3.
Mr Aboagye previously served as spokesperson for Dr Mahamudu Bawumia during the NPP's 2024 presidential campaign, where he was part of the team responsible for communicating the campaign's message to the public.
His return to the party's national communications structure comes as the NPP begins preparations for the 2028 general elections and seeks to reorganise its structures following its defeat in the 2024 elections.
Mr Aboagye has also served in government, including as a presidential staffer responsible for Local Government and Decentralisation and as Executive Secretary of the Inter-Ministerial Coordinating Committee on Decentralisation during the tenure of former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
His confirmation as Director of Communications places him at the centre of the party's communications strategy as it works to rebuild its structures and prepare for the next general election.
