President John Dramani Mahama will today visit Hohoe in the Volta Region following the recent flood disaster that affected parts of the municipality.
The visit, which was disclosed by the Volta Regional Minister, James Gunu on his Facebook page said the President will use the tour to assess the extent of damage caused by the flooding.
According to Mr Gunu, President Mahama will engage directly with affected communities and stakeholders to appreciate their plight and concerns.
He explained that the President will also lead discussions on immediate relief interventions for victims of the disaster.
In addition to relief efforts, the visit is expected to focus on sustainable measures to prevent future occurrences of flooding in the area.
Mr Gunu noted that government remains committed to supporting affected residents and strengthening disaster preparedness in the region.
President Mahama's visit is anticipated to bring hope to victims while paving the way for long-term solutions to flooding in Hohoe and its environs.
