DW has partnered with Channel One TV to officially launch its thought-provoking programme, Under the Baobab, in Africa.
The official launch will take place at the Channel One TV premises in Accra, Ghana, on Thursday, October 1, from 6:45 p.m. to 9 p.m. and will be broadcast live on Channel One TV.
Hosted by Mimi and George Okachi, Under the Baobab brings together diverse voices to examine some of Africa's pressing challenges and explore possible solutions.
The programme features candid conversations with heads of state, policymakers, young leaders and other stakeholders, with discussions covering politics, social change and issues affecting communities across the continent.
The first edition after the launch on Thursday will focus on migration and xenophobia, while exploring the broader question of belonging and how Africans perceive and relate to one another across national borders.
The programme combines expert perspectives with audience contributions, providing participants with an opportunity to share their views and reflect on the social realities surrounding migration and identity in Africa.
The Special Guest of Honour for Thursday's edition is Ambassador Harold Adlai Agyeman, Coordinating Director for Political and Economic Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Ghana.
Viewers can tune in to Channel One TV from 6:45 p.m. for the live Accra edition of Under the Baobab.
