Daniel Basepwah outlines financial management agenda in Atwima Kwanwoma NDC treasurer race

The contest for the position of Treasurer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Atwima Kwanwoma Constituency has attracted Daniel Basepwah, a banker and long-standing member of the party.

Following Friday’s vetting and balloting exercise, Mr Basepwah secured the third position on the ballot paper. He described the process as fair and orderly.

Mr Basepwah, also known as “Ato Forson Junior”, is seeking to draw on his more than 10 years of experience in the banking and financial sector in his bid to manage the constituency’s finances.

He said his professional background had given him practical knowledge of financial management, which he intends to apply to the administration of the constituency’s resources if elected.

“I have been a banker for over ten solid years, with good credentials in terms of finance,” he said.

Mr Basepwah said his vision was to contribute to a stronger financial system within the constituency and ensure that party activities received the necessary financial support.

Having been involved with the NDC for several years, he said he brought a combination of professional experience, party knowledge and an understanding of financial administration to the contest.

He described himself as focused, humble and knowledgeable in financial matters, and said these qualities would guide his approach to the management of the constituency’s finances.

He has appealed to delegates and supporters to consider his candidature when they cast their ballots.

At the same time, Mr Basepwah called for a peaceful contest, urging supporters and other candidates to respect the rules governing the election and allow the process to proceed without violence.

He said his campaign would focus on financial discipline, accountability and responsible management of the constituency’s resources.
