Cape Coast North MP supports Wesley Girls’ SHS with cement, sand and stones

The Member of Parliament for Cape Coast North, Dr. Kwamena Minta Nyarku, popularly known as Ragga, has donated building materials to support the construction of a septic tank for Wesley Girls’ Senior High School in Cape Coast.

The items were two trips of sand and stones, and 100 bags of cement.

At a brief donation ceremony held on the school’s premises on Thursday, September 24, 2026, Dr. Nyarku described Wesley Girls’ SHS as one of Ghana’s iconic second-cycle schools and said it ought to be supported to train more female human resources for the country.

“This school is among the few female Category 'A' schools in Ghana. I am therefore compelled to provide the needed support for its operations,” he said.

He noted that once his office was alerted to the ongoing construction of the septic tank for the renowned female SHS in his constituency, he had no option but to support the project.

“My office had no option but to support them with two trips of sand and stones, and 100 bags of cement,” he said.

The Headmistress of the school, Ms. Evelyn Nana Efua Assan, expressed appreciation to the MP and his team for their timely response to the school’s request.

“We thank the Honourable for heeding our call and coming to our aid,” she said.

She added that the items would greatly contribute to the completion of the project, and said the school was elated and grateful. She also seized the occasion to appeal to the MP for further support for the school’s development.

The headmistress and staff present unanimously prayed for God’s blessings, protection and favour upon the MP.
