Kofi Job foundation releases $20,000 for hole-in-heart patient to undergo surgery in India

Renowned road contractor Mr Kofi Gyebi Job and his wife, Dr Esther Okyere Gyebi, through the Kofi Job Foundation, have released $20,000 to support a five-year-old boy suffering from a hole-in-heart condition to be flown to India for treatment.

The patient, a boy has been battling the condition for some time, putting his life in danger.

The mother of the child, Felicity Acheampong, appealed to the philanthropic couple for support.

Following her plea, the Foundation linked the family to a doctor in Ghana who conducted all necessary tests and also assisted them to secure passports for the boy and his mother.

Mr Kofi Gyebi Job and his wife Dr Esther Okyere Gyebi released the funds for the treatment on Wednesday, September 24, 2026.

Speaking to OTEC News, co-founder of the Foundation, Dr Mrs Esther Okyere Gyebi, said the Foundation decided to take up the full cost of treatment after understanding the family's situation.

She noted that the Kofi Job Foundation was established solely to help the vulnerable in society.

She disclosed that the child and the mother will be flown from Ghana to India for the surgery.

"Funds for the treatment have been paid in full, the Foundation will monitor their progress and ensure the child is safe."

"We urge the family to also protect the child and make him available for the treatment," she stated.

The mother of the child, after receiving the support, shed tears and thanked Mr Kofi Gyebi Job and his wife for the gesture.

"When I first approached them, I never knew this day would come where they would pay the full amount for the treatment.

"This support will save the family a huge financial burden. I will forever be grateful to the Kofi Job Foundation for this huge support," she stated.
