Binance Reinforces Safety and Compliance Standards as Ghanas Crypto Market Grows

Binance, the world's leading blockchain ecosystem and cryptocurrency exchange is reinforcing its long standing focus on safety, security and compliance for users in Ghana as data confirms the country is fast becoming one of West Africa's most active digital asset markets.

More than 77 percent of Binance's users worldwide now come from emerging markets, up from 49 percent in 2020. Ghana forms a significant part of that shift as more Ghanaians turn to digital assets. This makes trust in the platform they use just as important as the opportunities.

Digital assets offer real opportunities for financial empowerment. They give people new ways to save, send money and access global markets often faster and more affordably than traditional options. For millions of Ghanaians this can mean greater financial inclusion and more control over their own money. Binance believes this opportunity can only be fully realised when people trust the platform they use to access it.

Binance says trust starts with the basics done well. Every account benefits from layered account protection including two factor authentication, login alerts and withdrawal restrictions that activate automatically when risk increases. Free courses through Binance Academy help users understand how to spot scams and protect their funds at no cost.

Binance backs this up with real investment. The platform spends approximately 300 million US dollars a year on compliance with close to 1500 employees dedicated to compliance work worldwide. This investment supports Binance's goal of keeping every user protected wherever they are.

"Trust must be earned through action," says Larry Cooke at Binance Africa. "In Ghana we see growing interest in crypto every day. That is why we continue to invest in stronger account protection and free education to ensure people are protected while they explore it."

Binance works closely with policy makers, banks and regulators across Ghana to support a safe and balanced framework for the country's digital asset sector. This includes ongoing dialogue on consumer protection, financial education and responsible growth to ensure that regulation and innovation develop together.

"Education is the single biggest protection any user can have," Cooke adds. "That is why Binance Academy offers free courses to every user in Ghana. The more Ghanaians understand how crypto works and how to stay safe, the more confidently they can trust and take part in the digital economy."

As Ghana's digital asset sector continues to grow, Binance remains focused on making sure every user in the country can trust its platforms.
