Captain (Rtd.) Reuben Solomon Jabari has made a bold move to economically empower NDC members in the Atwima Kwanwoma Constituency with the launch of a major business support initiative dubbed “Fund Me Go.”
The immediate past NDC Branch Chairman at Island City and aspiring Constituency Chairman has unveiled the initiative with a promise to put money-making opportunities directly into the hands of party members across the constituency.
Launched at Twedie on Tuesday, the initiative will give members access to loans ranging from GH¢2,000 to GH¢20,000, with flexible repayment arrangements and relatively low interest.
But the major attraction is the ambitious plan to make Pragia and Aboboyaa available to party members who want to enter or expand their businesses.
Under the arrangement, beneficiaries will pay 30 percent of the cost upfront and repay the remaining amount within six months, while using the vehicle to generate income.
Captain Jabari says his target is to support members with more than 600 Pragia and Aboboyaa, creating opportunities for them to earn a living and support their families.
The programme, being implemented in collaboration with Utrak Savings and Loans, is expected to benefit people engaged in transportation, trading, tailoring and other small-scale businesses.
Speaking to journalists after the launch, Captain Jabari explained that his vision goes beyond financial assistance.
He wants to see NDC branches revitalised and party members economically empowered to become self-reliant.
“My vision is to ensure that all party branches in this Constituency are well revived for effective campaign,” he said.
He urged party members to seize the opportunity and use the initiative to build sustainable sources of income.
With the programme expected to be decentralised across the district, “Fund Me Go” is set to bring its economic empowerment agenda directly to NDC members in communities across Atwima Kwanwoma.
