ECG announces mass revenue mobilisation exercise in Volta and Oti regions

The Electricity Company of Ghana Limited (ECG), Volta Region, has announced a mass revenue mobilisation exercise across the Volta and Oti regions as part of efforts to recover outstanding bills from customers.

The exercise is scheduled to run from Wednesday, September 23 to Friday, October 2, 2026, and will cover all categories of customers with outstanding arrears.

According to ECG, the exercise will target residential, commercial and industrial customers, as well as Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs).

The company said special teams would monitor the exercise and take action against customers found to have illegally connected to the electricity supply system, interfered with the exercise or carried out illegal self-reconnection after being disconnected.

The exercise will be conducted across 10 operational districts in the Volta and Oti regions. These are Ho, Kpeve, Kpando, Hohoe, Jasikan, Nkwanta, Dambai, Akatsi, Sogakope, Keta and Denu.

ECG has therefore urged customers with outstanding bills to settle their arrears before the exercise begins to avoid disconnection and the additional payment of reconnection fees.

Customers who are unable to access their bills have been advised to visit the nearest ECG office for assistance.

The company encouraged customers to use their regular payment channels, including the ECG Mobile App, to settle their bills.

ECG said the revenue mobilisation exercise forms part of efforts to improve its operations under the tagline, “Help ECG to serve you better.”
