Ho Central NPP threatens retaliation over demolition of party office fence wall for dual Big Push project

The Communications Officer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ho Central Constituency, Mr James Geh, has vowed to retaliate following the demolition of the party’s constituency office and parts of its regional office in Ho.

According to him, the constituency office was demolished to make way for the preparations for the 2025 National Farmers’ Day celebration, while the regional office’s fence wall was also affected by development activities in the area.

Mr Geh said the party did not resist the demolition when it was carried out, but indicated that the NPP would respond by undertaking development projects of its own when it returns to power.

He said the party’s planned response would include the construction of a dual carriageway from Nogora Junction through to Poly and towards the "Red Dot" area, where some properties belonging to the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Ho Hon. Stephen Adomi would be affected.

He further stated that the NPP would extend the dual carriageway from Nogora Junction to Ho Technical University (HTU), describing it as a way of demonstrating the party’s commitment to development.

Mr Geh also referred to the construction of a bridge at Poly, saying the project had been delayed for about two years. He said the NPP would ensure that the bridge was constructed to improve access to the area and facilitate movement into Ho Technical University.

He assured residents of Ho and the Volta Region that, if the NPP returned to government, the party would undertake the proposed road and bridge projects as part of its development agenda.

Mr Geh further said that the proposed works would also improve the road network around Nogora Junction and the Ho Technical University area, which he said would help make movement within the area easier.

He also criticised the NDC government, describing it as a “propaganda government" that loses focus in its development promises. He added that the NPP would focus on what he described as a tangible development when it returned to power.
