A young trader identified as Beatrice Afful has reportedly died after she was knocked down by a vehicle on the Kumasi-Bibiani stretch while returning home from Kumasi.
According to a report by Dunkwa TV on September 15, 2026, Beatrice, a resident of the Sefwi Akontombra District in the Western North Region, had travelled to Kumasi to replenish her stock after exhausting the items she previously had for sale.
The report said she had recently completed Senior High School and was travelling back home on a VIP bus after purchasing new dresses for her business.
During the journey, Beatrice reportedly asked the driver to stop by the roadside so she could urinate.
She alighted from the bus but was allegedly struck by a car approaching from the opposite direction.
She was subsequently rushed to the nearest hospital for treatment but was pronounced dead upon arrival.
