Mahama will complete 24-hour economy market before 2028 – NDC women organiser 

Mrs Faustina Lamptey, Central Regional Women's Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has assured Ghanaians that the John Mahama administration would complete the ongoing 24-hour economy market projects before the 2028 general elections.

According to her, the projects, when completed, would provide traders with modern and conducive business environments and make them feel as comfortable as people working in offices.

Mrs Lamptey, who is also the Deputy National Coordinator of the Ghana School Feeding Programme, gave the assurance during a meeting with grassroots women organisers at Denkyira Ankaako in the Twifo-Hemang-Lower- Denkyira District of the Central Region.

She said the government remained committed to implementing programmes and projects aimed at improving the livelihoods of Ghanaians, particularly traders and other small-scale business operators.

The Constituency Women's Organiser for Twifo-Hemang-Lower-Denkyira, Mrs Baaba Fynn, also appealed to Ghanaians, particularly party delegates, to vote based on the development record and competence of candidates rather than demanding money before voting.

She cautioned that constantly demanding money from political candidates could undermine development because politicians might be forced to divert resources meant for development into vote-buying.

The NDC Constituency Chairman for the Area, Alhaji Suleman Yusif, urged residents to vote for the NDC presidential and parliamentary candidates to accelerate development in the constituency.

He said the constituency continued to face significant developmental challenges, particularly poor roads.

Alhaji Yussif appealed to residents to vote for both the NDC presidential and parliamentary candidates, arguing that electing representatives from different political parties could affect the coordination and delivery of development projects in the constituency.
