Part Four: The Unexpected Opportunity
Two years passed.
Daniel’s business had improved significantly. He was no longer interested in impressing people. He focused on serving his customers well and treating everyone with respect.

One afternoon, a wealthy businessman named Mr. Arthur visited his shop. He had heard about Daniel’s honesty and good customer service.

“I have been looking for someone to supply building materials for a large project,” Mr. Arthur said. “Several people recommended you.”

Daniel was surprised.
“Thank you, sir. I will do my best.”

Mr. Arthur smiled. “That is what I like about you. You do not boast. You simply work.”

The contract was large enough to transform Daniel’s business. But instead of celebrating alone, Daniel remembered the people who had helped him during his difficult days.

He first visited Mr. Mensah.
“Sir, I have received a major contract,” Daniel said. “Your advice helped me rebuild my business. I will never forget it.”

Mr. Mensah smiled proudly.
“I am happy for you. But remember, success is not measured only by what you acquire. It is also measured by what you give.”

Daniel took those words seriously.
He employed more young people from his community and trained them in business management. He supported Kojo’s business by giving him a contract to supply some of the materials needed for his projects.

He also began visiting schools to encourage students.

“Do not despise small beginnings,” he told them. “And never look down on people because of their position. The person you ignore today may be the person who helps you tomorrow.”

Daniel’s story spread throughout Avenya. People admired him not only for his business success but also for his humility.

One day, a young man who worked in his shop made a serious mistake that cost the company money. Instead of insulting him, Daniel called him into his office.

“Tell me what happened,” he said.

The young man explained.
Daniel nodded. “You have made a mistake, but you can learn from it. Let us find a way to correct it.”

The young man was grateful.
“Thank you, sir. I will work harder.”

Daniel smiled.
He had finally learned that a humble leader does not make people feel small; he helps them become better.
