COKA leads Ashanti Executives to offer thanks to God

Following their victory in the recent regional executive elections, the leadership of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ashanti Region, led by Regional Chairman Odeneho Kwaku Appiah (popularly known as COKA), gathered on Sunday afternoon at the Gracefields Chapel in Nhyiaeso to offer prayers and thanksgiving.

The event brought together key party stalwarts, constituency leadership, current national officers, and aspirants contesting the upcoming national executive elections scheduled for October 3, along with numerous party faithful.

The thanksgiving service provided an opportunity to celebrate the party’s successful electoral process, foster regional cohesion, and outline a strategic vision for the party's future.

Unity
Addressing the congregation, Chairman Odeneho emphasized that acknowledging divine grace was essential following a peaceful and transparent election process.

He urged the newly elected executives to honor the trust reposed in them by the party membership through dedicated service.

Highlighting the upcoming national elections, Chairman Odeneho called on delegates from the region to adopt a unified front by backing competent candidates originating from the Ashanti Region, the party's traditional stronghold.

"Our election victory must motivate us to unite behind an 'Ashanti Agenda.' By supporting aspirants from our region who are seeking national leadership positions, we demonstrate our collective strength and solid influence within the party," Chairman Odeneho urged.

Core Ideals
Chairman Odeneho underscored the necessity of reconnecting with the foundational values of the NPP, pointing out that the party was built on the principles of fairness, discipline, integrity, and strict adherence to its constitution.

He noted that internal friction and political factionalism had occasionally led to the alienation of committed members.

To address this, he pledged that his administration would prioritize inclusivity and reconciliation to build a formidable force capable of securing victory in the 2028 general elections.

Commendation
NPP General Secretary, Lawyer Justin Frimpong Kodua, commended the Ashanti Regional executive team for initiating their tenure with a focus on faith and unity.

He encouraged officers across all levels, from polling stations to the national stage to adopt a similar collaborative approach as the party prepares its strategy for 2028.

Sermon
Delivering the sermon, the officiating clergy commended the leadership for their gesture of gratitude.

He reminded the executives that effective leadership requires resilience, integrity, and continuous humility, urging them to serve with a shared vision that yields tangible political success for the party.

A minute of silence and prayer was called by COKA and observed by the party for its incarcerated former Regional Chairman, Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Wontumi.
