Technical Aide to President John Dramani Mahama, Abraham Azuman Lambon, has officially declared his intention to contest the Deputy National Organizer position of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Lambon, who has a long-standing history of service within the NDC and experience in community development, party organization and election management, says his decision is driven by a desire to contribute to strengthening the party’s organizational structures and electoral preparedness.

His political journey spans several years, during which he has held various positions at both regional and institutional levels. He served for eight years as the Upper East Regional Youth Organizer of the NDC after previously serving four years as Deputy Regional Youth Organizer.

He also served as an Assembly Member for the Kpkipira Electoral Area for eight years, giving him extensive experience in grassroots leadership and local governance.

Lambon’s involvement in student politics also forms part of his organizational experience. He served for two years as the Brong Ahafo Regional TEIN Coordinator and spent two years as Secretary of the Sunyani Technical University TEIN.

Beyond his political roles, Lambon has accumulated considerable experience in election management and party agent development. He has been involved in election supervision and party agent training for 23 years, an experience he believes has equipped him with an in-depth understanding of Ghana’s electoral processes and the importance of effective grassroots organization.

His professional background also includes 17 years of service with the Anglican Diocesan Development and Relief Organization (ADDRO) and 13 months at St. Mary’s Hospital in Drobo.

In the private sector, Lambon has served as the Managing Director of Lamb B Limited for 15 years, further adding management and administrative experience to his profile.

With his declaration, Lambon joins the growing list of party figures positioning themselves for leadership roles ahead of the NDC’s internal elections.
