Miracles Aboagye promises fact-based campaign for Bawumia ahead of 2028

Aspiring National Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dennis Miracles Aboagye, has pledged to deploy a new communications strategy to promote the party’s 2028 flagbearer, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.

He said the NPP’s Communications Directorate would work to ensure that Bawumia’s vision reaches voters across the country ahead of the 2028 general election.

Miracles Aboagye made the pledge in a social media post on Tuesday, August 25, while addressing Bawumia directly and assuring him of the support of the party’s communications team.

“We have 827 days to the 2028 election. The entire elephant family across the country is united behind you and poised to work for victory,” he said.

The 2024 NPP presidential campaign spokesperson said the communications team would focus its engagement with voters on facts, in line with an instruction he attributed to Bawumia.

“We give you our word sir, WE WILL COMMAND THE NARRATIVE. They won’t see it coming. The boys and the girls are ready,” Aboagye said.

He described Bawumia as a “good man” who deserved to become President, adding that the communications team could be counted on to support his presidential bid.

Bawumia emerged as the NPP’s presidential candidate for the 2024 election but lost to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate, John Dramani Mahama.

He has secured the party's ticket once again ahead of the next general elections.
