The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) responded to and contained three separate fire incidents recorded at different locations in the Greater Accra Region on Sunday, August 9.

The incidents occurred at Ogbojo, the Circle Roundabout and along the Teshie Bush Road.

Although properties were destroyed in some of the incidents, no casualties were recorded, according to the service.

According to the GNFS, an abandoned trailer and its contents were completely destroyed by fire at Ogbojo.

“Firefighters successfully salvaged two nearby buses,” the Service said in a statement issued on Monday, August 10.

At the Circle Roundabout, GNFS personnel also responded to a refuse fire and extinguished it before it could cause damage to surrounding property.

No casualties or property damage were recorded in that incident.

Meanwhile, firefighters from the Trade Fair Fire Station responded to a vehicle fire at Teshie Bush Road and successfully contained the blaze.

The fire destroyed the vehicle’s bonnet, engine compartment and bumper, but firefighters prevented further damage.

“Firefighters from Trade Fair Fire Station contained and extinguished a vehicle fire at Teshie Bush Road, preventing further damage,” the GNFS said.

The causes of all three fire incidents remain under investigation.
