Choirmaster’s emotional tribute to late wife Beverly Afaglo

Ghanaian musician ‘Choirmaster’ has paid an emotional tribute to his late wife, actress and entrepreneur Beverly Ama Afaglo-Baah, describing her as a woman whose love, generosity and unwavering faith left a lasting impact on his life.

He delivered his final tribute during the funeral rites of the late actress at the frontage of the State House on Saturday, August 8.

Chormaster expressed gratitude to his wife for her encouragement and the family they built together, as he reflected on her life and legacy.

“Thank you for your encouragement of the beautiful family we built together. Thank you for every prayer, every act of kindness; you strengthened my faith,” he said.

He said although many people knew Beverly as a gifted actress, he had the privilege of knowing the person behind her public achievements.

“Many knew you as a gifted actress and an endearing actress. But I knew of the beautiful heart behind every achievement. You loved deeply and gave generously. And you never once sought recognition,” he said.

Choirmaster also highlighted his late wife's contribution to the film industry, saying her work had touched many lives.

“Through your acting and film works, you touched countless hearts with hope and kindness, especially with Traffic Shawarma,” he said.

He further recalled Beverly's strength and faith during her illness, saying she continued to trust in God despite the challenges she faced.

“Even in the midst of your battle, you never stopped trusting God. You comforted me when I was afraid. Your resilience, courage, and steadfast belief in God’s promises inspire me every day,” he said.

He said witnessing her strength had transformed him permanently.

“Witnessing your strength has changed me forever. Rest well, my queen. I love you,” he added.

Several Ghanaian celebrities attended the funeral to pay their last respects to the late Beverly Afaglo. They included Yvonne Nelson, Van Vicker, the Keche music group, Rex Omar, Obour, Eunice Banini, Jackie Appiah, Captain Planet of 4×4, and John Dumelo, the Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon, among others.

Beverly Ama Afaglo-Baah died on Sunday, May 24, 2026, at the age of 42.

Her death was met with widespread mourning, particularly within Ghana's entertainment industry, where colleagues and fans paid tribute to her contributions as an actress and entrepreneur.
