The Acting National Coordinator of NADMO, Douglas Akrofi Asiedu said lack of transportation has been the main challenge of the organisation this year. This he said has resulted in delay in sending relief items to flood victims in the three regions of the North. Mr. Akrofi-Asiedu was speaking at the presentation of relief items by the Etherian Mission and the University of Ghana Medical Students Union to support flood victims in the three regions of the north.
The first presentation was made by Mrs. Doris Cudjoe on behalf of the Etherian Mission, Sakaman, near accra. They presented assorted items worth GH¢1,000 and a cash of GH¢300.
The second presentation was made by Adam-Zakariah Issa Leslie, President of the University of Ghana Medical Students Union and Julia Wiredu the Vice-president.
They also presented assorted items worth GH¢800 to help improve living conditions of the flood victims. Mr. Akrofi Asiedu thanked them for their support and appealed to government to assist NADMO in acquiring more vehicles to send items to the affected areas.
