The digital transformation agenda of ARB Apex Bank PLC has recorded a major success story, with the Bank’s electronic channels facilitating billions of cedis in transactions and bringing banking services closer to millions of Ghanaians.

At the Bank’s 24th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of shareholders held at the Lancaster City Hotel in Kumasi, Acting Managing Director Curtis William Brantuo (Esq.) highlighted the remarkable growth of ARB Apex Bank’s digital banking ecosystem, describing 2025 as a defining year for technology-driven financial services.

Mr. Brantuo disclosed that the Bank’s flagship digital platforms, USSD Banking, E-Susu, GhanaPay, ATM services and Agency Banking, remained active throughout the year, recording impressive usage levels and strengthening financial inclusion.

GH¢1.73 Billion Moves Through USSD Banking

One of the biggest highlights was the performance of the Bank’s USSD Banking platform, which recorded more than 3.02 million transactions valued at approximately GH¢1.73 billion.

The platform also expanded its customer base to 229,921 users, reflecting the growing preference for convenient mobile banking services among customers.

According to Mr. Brantuo, the strong performance of USSD Banking demonstrates how technology is changing the way customers access financial services, particularly in communities where banking access has historically been limited.

E-Susu Becomes a Digital Savings Powerhouse

The Bank’s E-Susu platform emerged as another major success story, processing 11.75 million transactions worth approximately GH¢3.8 billion.

The Acting Managing Director said the growth of the platform shows the increasing acceptance of digital savings and payment solutions among customers of Community Banks.

GhanaPay Deepens Digital Payments
Mr. Brantuo also announced significant progress in GhanaPay operations, with the platform closing the year with 219,052 customers, 558 merchants and 5,396 agents.

He explained that GhanaPay is contributing to the growth of Ghana’s digital payments ecosystem by providing customers with secure and accessible transaction options.

Agency Banking Extends Services to Communities

Beyond online platforms, ARB Apex Bank’s Agency Banking model continued to expand access to financial services.

The platform recorded GH¢35.9 million in deposits, GH¢5.27 million in withdrawals and GH¢239,249 in transfers, helping bring banking closer to customers in various communities.

Technology Investment Fuels Digital Growth

Mr. Brantuo attributed the success of the Bank’s digital platforms to deliberate investments in technology infrastructure.

He said ARB Apex Bank upgraded its Data Centre with modern network equipment, enhanced security systems, improved storage solutions and advanced monitoring tools to ensure reliable and secure banking operations.

He assured shareholders that the Bank will continue to invest in innovation to support the future of Community Banking in Ghana.

“Digital banking at ARB Apex Bank delivered not only numbers, but impact, expanding access, improving convenience and strengthening confidence in financial services,” Mr. Brantuo stated.

With billions of cedis processed through its digital platforms, ARB Apex Bank is positioning itself as a key driver of Ghana’s transition towards a more inclusive and technology-led banking future.
