A married woman has appealed for help over what she describes as her husband’s habit of constantly initiating intimacy every moment, saying it has resulted in repeated pregnancies and emotional distress.
Speaking on Lawson TV, the woman said her husband rarely prepares her emotionally before initiating intimacy, making the experience painful and leaving her with little opportunity to manage family planning.
“My husband enjoys impromptu sexual intimacy. He does not give me a heads-up before any intimacy. He does not even prepare my mind for it; he just does it,” she said.
According to her, the situation has led to frequent pregnancies, turning her into a laughing stock in her community.
“As a result of that, I frequently get pregnant, and because of this I have been tagged as the woman who loves getting pregnant in my community. It is no fault of mine,” she stated.
She explained that she makes conscious efforts to track her menstrual cycle using a personal record book, but her husband’s spontaneous approach makes it difficult for her to plan effectively.
“I even have a book that I use to track my menses, but the man does not give me a heads-up before any intimacy,” she added.
The woman said she would prefer that her husband communicate with her beforehand and allow time for emotional preparation, arguing that the lack of communication has made intimacy physically painful rather than enjoyable.
“I would have preferred if he took his time to prepare my mind, but he does none of that. As a result, it is only pain I feel when we have it,” she said.
