Cape Coast Technical University unveils 'Agenda 4K' to boost student enrolment

The Vice Chancellor of Cape Coast Technical University, Prof. Kwaku Adutwum Ayim Boakye, has outlined an ambitious vision to significantly increase student enrolment through the institution's newly introduced Agenda 4K initiative.

Speaking during a press soirée with members of the media, Prof. Boakye explained that the Agenda 4K initiative is aimed at expanding the university's student population by enrolling 4,000 students in the next academic year, with plans to sustain and build on that target in subsequent years.

According to the Vice Chancellor, achieving this objective will require a collective effort from all stakeholders. He noted that the university is strengthening collaborations with the media, religious bodies, educational institutions, and other key partners to promote Cape Coast Technical University and attract more prospective students.

He stressed that the media will play a crucial role in projecting the university's academic programmes, facilities, and opportunities to a wider audience, while churches and other institutions will help spread awareness about the institution's offerings.

Prof. Boakye further disclosed that the university is taking strategic steps to ensure it has the infrastructure needed to accommodate the anticipated increase in student numbers. As part of these efforts, management is pursuing the acquisition of additional land to support future expansion and the development of more student accommodation facilities.

He expressed confidence that with the support of stakeholders and the implementation of Agenda 4K, Cape Coast Technical University will strengthen its position as one of Ghana's leading technical universities while providing quality technical and vocational education to more students across the country.
