The University of Ghana has charged its July 2026 graduating class to leverage Artificial Intelligence, innovation and lifelong learning to solve national problems and accelerate Ghana’s development, as it conferred degrees on 1,884 students.
The cohort includes 157 PhD, 1,429 master’s, and 298 undergraduate degree holders.
Representing the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Nana Aba Appiah Amfo, Pro Vice-Chancellor for Research, Innovation and Development Professor Felix Ankomah Asante urged graduates to uphold excellence, integrity and continuous learning as they step into an increasingly technology‑driven world.
He encouraged them to use their knowledge to improve lives, mentor future students and contribute meaningfully to Ghana’s progress.
“Harness AI and new technologies reshaping industries and transforming the workplace. Use your knowledge not only for personal advancement but to improve the lives of others and contribute to Ghana and the world,” he said.
