Mulan Smart Educational Center and its sister venture, Mulan Neurodiversity School, have partnered with Indian non‑toxic products brand Nataraj and its Ghanaian distributor, JK Industries and Investment Limited, in a collaboration aimed at putting safe, toxin‑free products into the hands of children with autism, Down syndrome and other neurodevelopmental challenges.
The alliance, announced at Mulan’s recent graduation ceremony, saw Nataraj gift its Euro Standard‑certified products to outgoing students — a gesture its Ghanaian marketing manager, Ratnodip, framed as a long‑term commitment rather than a one‑off goodwill exercise.
Ratnodip used the occasion to deliver a personal address to the graduates, drawing on his own life story to urge them to believe in their potential. It was a rare moment of public vulnerability from a corporate representative — and it resonated.
For Mulan CEO Thara Brigitte Mills, the partnership is about more than product placement. She has long campaigned for greater awareness of the dangers everyday toxins pose to children with special needs — risks that can trigger crises or exacerbate existing conditions. Aligning Mulan, and its events arm Party Tree Mall, with Nataraj, she said, was a natural next step.
Party Tree Mall Opening
The partnership will get its first public test on 1 August, when Party Tree Mall officially opens its doors in Accra. Nataraj will be present, and Mills is inviting Ghanaians to come and see what the collaboration looks like in practice.
For now, the message is simple: safety, quality and advocacy. Whether the partnership can deliver on all three — at scale — is the question that will determine whether this is a genuine shift or just another corporate handshake.
