Ghana Enterprise Agency (gea) Presents Start-Up Kids To Beneficiaries In Nkoranza

As part of government’s commitment to empowering the youth of this Nation through skill training in diverse field, the Business Advisory office in Nkoranza municipal trained 272 individual beneficiaries in various categories of skill work under the business in A Box (BizBox) project with funding through the master card foundation.

At the ceremony to mark the graduation and distribution of start-up kids to beneficiaries at forecourt of the municipal Assembly, the Municipal chief executive Hon. Godfred Dapaa, seizure the opportunity to advice all beneficiary who were privilege to be selected to be part of this project to take proper care of the machines given to them to start their work.

He said some of the youths in the Municipality are looking for such opportunity but they have not gotten that chance, so if you are lucky and you are among the few that where selected you have to thank God make good use of your machines.

In his opening remarks, he assured the public that the member of parliament for Nkoranza South Hon. Emmanuel Kwadwo Agyekum (MP) was invited to be part of this program but due to the busy schedules of parliamentary precedence they held a day before he couldn’t make it to join us but he extends greeting to ever body and all beneficiaries.

He said the president of the republic of Ghana His Excellency John Dramani Mahama promise to impower the youth of this country through skill training todays program is a clear fulfilment of his promise he made.

He took the opportunity and urge beneficiaries not sale the equipment given to them but to make good use of them and also train others for the municipality to grow. Speaking on behalf of the chief executive office of Ghana enterprise agency miss Magritte Osei, the deputy National project coordinator Mr. Abdul -Latif Ibn Mohammed said today marks the beginning of new opportunity and renewed hope for the 272 young entrepreneurs in the municipality.

He said to days beneficiaries represent diverse sector that are essential to Ghana’s economic transformation. He said they are supporting 70 dress makers, 30 hair dresses, 10 welders, 3 carpenters, 5 ladder workers, 44 plumbers, and 110 livestock entrepreneurs. He said each of these start-up kid represents an investment their future.
