Mahama: No Compromise on Accountability and Anti‑Corruption

President John Dramani Mahama has reaffirmed that accountability remains a central pillar of his administration’s governance agenda.

Addressing students and staff at Ho Technical University on Friday, July 17, 2026, the President said his government is committed to deepening transparency, strengthening responsible leadership, and safeguarding the proper use of public resources.

He stressed that public officials and state institutions must be held answerable for their actions, noting that the fight against corruption and abuse of office demands robust systems, integrity, and unwavering commitment to justice.

President Mahama emphasised that accountability is not an act of political retaliation, but a necessary safeguard to protect the public interest and ensure that those entrusted with national responsibilities act in the service of Ghana and its citizens.

He assured Ghanaians that his administration will continue to implement measures that reinforce good governance, rebuild public confidence, and promote fairness in the management of national affairs.
