The Municipal Chief Executive for Nkoranza South, Hon. Godfred Dapaa, has handed over 760 students’ desks to the Municipal Directorate of Education for distribution across public schools in the municipality.
The brief ceremony was held on Friday, 17th July 2026, at the forecourt of the Municipal Assembly, where Hon. Dapaa officially presented 400 dual desks and 360 mono desks to the Municipal Director of Education, Madam Theresa Kpebu.
Speaking at the event, Hon. Dapaa said the investment demonstrates the Assembly’s commitment to eliminating the furniture deficit and improving the teaching and learning environment in schools. He urged the directorate to ensure fair and immediate distribution, prioritizing underserved schools.
He further encouraged both teachers and pupils to take proper care of the furniture so future generations can also benefit.
Madam Theresa Kpebu, in her remarks, assured the MCE that the furniture would be well maintained. She pledged that the next generation would indeed meet the desks in good condition and benefit from them.
A total of 26 schools are expected to benefit from the distribution, including Apesika, Beposo, Nkoranza Model Primary, Okatakyei Basic School, and Akropong Presby Primary School, among others.
