In the tropical savanna of Ghana
where the harmattan wind whispers across the plains
and the White Volta flows with quiet dignity,
stands Tamale -
a city of culture, resilience, and enduring memory.
Upon this ancient soil, beneath vast northern skies,
rose a light destined to illuminate generations:
Tamale Senior High School - TAMASCO.
Nestled within the heart of Sagnarigu,
TAMASCO became more than walls and classrooms.
It became a sanctuary of dreams,
a forge where character was tempered,
where discipline walked hand in hand with knowledge,
and where young minds learned to rise beyond horizons.
From its halls emerged statesmen and women,
scholars, leaders, teachers, patriots,
sons and daughters whose footprints
have shaped the destiny of our nation.
Like the northern star that never loses its way,
TAMASCO stood as a beacon of learning in Ghana,
guiding countless schools and inspiring generations across the north.
Seventy-five years have passed,
yet the flame burns brighter still.
Today, we do not merely celebrate a school;
we celebrate a legacy.
A legacy written in sacrifice and excellence,
in victories on the sports field,
in triumphs in academia,
in culture, unity, and service to humanity.
O beloved alma mater,
your name echoes proudly in our hearts.
Time may journey onward,
but the spirit of TAMASCO shall forever endure -
radiant as the northern dawn,
steadfast as the land upon which it stands.
And so, at seventy-five,
we raise our voices in gratitude and pride:
Long live TAMASCO.
Long live the Northern Light of Education.
Long live the enduring spirit of our alma mater.
