Ghana’s 8th Hajj flight rescheduled to depart at 6PM, check-in begins at 11AM

The Pilgrims Affairs Office of Ghana (PAOG) has announced changes to the check-in and departure schedule for the 8th Hajj flight scheduled for Monday, May 18, 2026, at the Kotoka International Airport in Accra.

According to a statement issued by the Communications Directorate of PAOG, the adjustments were necessitated by unforeseen technical challenges affecting flight operations for today’s pilgrimage movement.

The Office disclosed that all accredited Hajj agents and prospective pilgrims assigned to the 8th flight have officially been informed about the development.

Under the revised schedule, check-in for pilgrims will commence at 11:00 a.m., while the departure of the flight has been rescheduled to 6:00 p.m.

PAOG expressed regret over the inconvenience caused by the sudden changes and assured pilgrims and stakeholders that every effort is being made to ensure a smooth and safe travel process.

The Office further appealed to all affected pilgrims to remain calm and cooperate fully with officials throughout the check-in and departure procedures.

The statement was signed by the Communications Directorate of the Pilgrims Affairs Office of Ghana.
