On January 30, 2026, a project team of the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) Developers Hub recorded a notable moment during an educational visit to Google Ghana’s Accra AI Community Centre (AICC) when its Hub Lead, Mr. Albert Siaw Yeboah Kay, presented a working web-based application and responded to technical questions from facilitators and participating students.
The visit formed part of an academic–industry engagement involving selected members of the UPSA Developers Hub who are contributing to a Hospital Management System (HMS) prototype project. The engagement was designed to expose students to professional research and innovation environments where technical ideas are discussed, examined, and evaluated.
During the innovation session, Mr. Yeboah presented a live web-based system to facilitators from the Google Accra AI Community Centre and participating students. He explained the purpose of the application, its core functionality, and key technical considerations involved in its development. The presentation prompted technical questions from facilitators and peers, to which he responded by clarifying system behaviour and design decisions.

Mr. Albert Siaw Yeboah Kay, UPSA Developers Hub Lead, during the educational visit to the Google Accra AI Community Centre (AICC), where he contributed to the presentation of a working web-based application in an innovation-focused session.
While students from Academic City University discussed ongoing projects at a conceptual level, the UPSA presentation was distinguished by reference to a working system and a detailed technical explanation within the time available for the session. Mr. Yeboah’s presentation reflected both his individual contribution to software development work and the broader academic environment fostered, also through the UPSA Developers Hub, which supports disciplined learning, technical articulation, and exposure to professional standards in software engineering.

A project team from the UPSA Developers Hub, University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), after the educational session at the Google Accra AI Community Centre, focused on applied AI research and professional software engineering practice.
The educational visit to Google AICC was conducted as a joint session with students from Academic City University and included discussions on applied research practice, student innovation, and career pathways in modern software engineering and artificial intelligence.
The UPSA Developers Hub operates as a Department of Information Technology-guided academic platform that complements formal coursework by supporting skills development, peer learning, and exposure to professional practice among committed students.
