Neighbour who was about committing suicide kills man who went to convince him to back down in Jomoro

The fishing community of Takinta in the Jomoro Municipality of the Western Region has been thrown into a state of shock after news broke out that one of the respected persons in the community has been killed under sad and bizarre circumstances.

According to information gathered, the deceased, Cosmos Ndah was allegedly killed by his neighbour, Nya Meah with a machete.

Sources revealed that on the day he was killed, suspect Nya Meah had told some people in the area that he wanted to commit suicide because he was fed up with life.

“So Meah went to his room and threatened that he was going to kill himself”, some residents asserted.

Daily Guide Network gathered that when the deceased, who was a neighbor, heard what Meah wanted to do, he decided to go and talk to him to rescind his decision.

According to eyewitnesses, Cosmos Ndah then went to the suspect’s house to try to talk to him and calm him down.

“But in the process, a confrontation ensued and the situation later turned bloody when Meah used a cutlass to butcher Cosmos to death,” eye witnesses narrated.

The Police have since taken over the case, and investigations are ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident. Meanwhile, the suspect has been arrested.
