The Dead Need Our Faithful Last Respect as a Presbyterian!
In the matter before us, the question naturally comes: Should the Begoro Presbyterian Church give last respect to the dead, or should they pay respect to the fanatics who denied the sick the chance to receive care and cure when she was alive? Shouldn’t the Begoro church consider the former a matter of priority over the latter? Why wouldn’t the Church allow the fanatics to attend their own church service on Saturday, which they consider a matter of priority over the last respect to be given to the dead who will not be with us again? Don’t we have two days for the mourning, one for the burial ceremony, which is Saturday, and the other for the Thanksgiving church service for the dead, which is a Sunday? Couldn’t the fanatic sect members have been asked to come the next day, which is Sunday, to join the rest and worship or celebrate the Thanksgiving Day of the dead?
Misplacement of Priority by the Begoro Presbyterian Church Authority
By allowing the Fanatic Sect Members the opportunity to change the rules to their advantage (Collect the body on Thursday evening and bury the dead on Friday morning. Then on Saturday attend their own hypocritical church service for themselves but not the dead), the Begoro Presbyterian Church authorities had misplaced priority, and that does not say well of them. They shirked the responsibility that they had the sole authority to steer. Because the dead need our attention and most loved, including the last respect, sending them to the Lord's Glory rather than the Fanatics who want to show off their piety in the presence of the public. For these people, Jesus said, they had received their reward already because they make their worship theatrical and, therefore, lack the genuine respect which the Church could have given to the dead as a faithful Presbyterian and a Singing Band Member of the Central Congregation in Begoro.
No Need to Change Rules to Favor the Fanatics and Hypocrites!
I would like to comment here that when it comes to the burying of the dead, there should not be a change of rules or the bending of someone’s rules because there are two days which all denominations could choose one of them to join and participate in paying the last respect to the dead, either the Saturday where the real burial ceremony takes place and the Sunday where the Thanksgiving ceremony takes place. Both fanatics and other church denominations could choose which day is appropriate for them to join. There is no need to think of making any changes; the only thing you need to do is address this situation properly to let the fanatical church members accept it or not.
Severe Stroke is a Bad Illness that destroys the brain.
About the condition of health of the Sub Chief of Begoro Bekumhene, stroke is a severe illness that is usually accompanied by severe mental illness if the patient does not die after being treated and discharged from the hospital. This debilitating situation calls for extreme care, where the sub chief needs to be given a helping hand when it comes to cases involving himself and the stool. At no other point should people be allowed to occupy the chair because the illness is such that the remaining brain after
the stroke disability is bad to make decisions on matters that could be life and death. Our advice is that the Most Honorable Bekumhene of Begoro should select a committee of medical experts to determine whether help is needed to maintain this position by the said individual or if someone else needs to be selected to take over this position, which requires a great deal of time and GREAT wisdom from the occupant.
Action Points and Concluding Remarks
The ninety-year-old woman who died four months ago foresaw this abominable behavior that her children (who did not take her to the hospital for treatments on Sabbaths) would deliberately force her to become a Seventh-day Adventist when she dies. They will fabricate stories that nobody in the family has the funds to bury her except them. This would enable them to bury her as a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, which she abhors. The writer has conducted investigations and found that the controversy surrounding this funeral has arisen because of the inability of the Begoro Presbyterian Church Authority to take its responsibilities as an important organization. The church should respect the Death Wishes, Nsamanse, of this old lady and bury her on a Saturday, which she has requested. The confirmation from the Sub Chief, who himself is a mental patient and has a bad brain, should not be taken seriously.
The Author is a Full Professor of Psychology and a legitimate first son of the deceased, whom the Mental Patient Sub Chief from Begoro has relegated outside.
