The Ghana Immigration Service has cautioned applicants in its ongoing recruitment exercise to ignore a fake SMS circulating on social media and other platforms.
The Service says the message falsely claims that some applicants have progressed to the next stage of the recruitment process and are required to pay a fee to proceed.
According to the Immigration Service, no decision has been taken to advance applicants beyond the application stage, and no payments are being demanded from applicants.
“Management of the Ghana Immigration Service categorically states that this information is false,” a statement dated December 15, said in part.
The Service stressed that neither it nor the Ministry of the Interior has announced the commencement of the next phase of the recruitment exercise.
“The application process remains open until the official deadline of 19 December 2025,” it added.
The Immigration Service advised applicants to avoid engaging individuals or groups behind the fraudulent messages and warned against so-called “protocol” offers.
It said applicants would be contacted only through official SMS, approved email addresses, designated phone numbers or by logging onto the C-SERP recruitment portal.
