NTC Must Address GTLE Results Portal Failure: Candidates Express Frustration

The National Teaching Council (NTC) has released the results for the 2025 Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination (GTLE 1). However, instead of excitement and relief, thousands of candidates have been left in deep frustration due to the inefficiency of the official results-checking portal.

According to candidates, the NTC results platform has failed to function effectively since the release, leaving many stranded after hours of attempting to access their results. The situation is compounded by the fact that the system repeatedly blocks candidates after prolonged login attempts, claiming they have “exceeded login attempts,” even though most are simply following the required procedure.

What makes the matter more disturbing is that after making the mandated payment of GHC7 to check results, many candidates are compelled to pay again, only to be met with the same login restrictions. This repetitive cycle of payment without access is not only frustrating but also unfair to hardworking candidates who have invested time, effort, and money into this professional journey.

The frustration is widespread, with candidates describing the process as “disheartening and disappointing.” Many believe that NTC must urgently learn from the operational efficiency of WAEC’s result-checking portal, which allows smooth access without needless setbacks or financial exploitation.

The candidates are therefore calling for immediate intervention by the NTC to rectify these technical challenges. They stress that a credible institution responsible for overseeing the professional standards of teachers must not be associated with such inefficiency, especially at a time when the future of teachers depends heavily on the credibility and accessibility of their results.

In the interest of fairness and transparency, NTC is urged to not only resolve these technical issues without delay but also consider compensation or free access for candidates who have been unfairly made to pay multiple times without receiving their results.

The release of examination results should be a moment of clarity and relief, not one of despair. Candidates are therefore demanding swift action from NTC to restore trust and ensure that such frustrations are never repeated in future examinations.
