Mr. David Arthur, the CEO of BT Farms located in Ablekuma Newtown, Ghana, is deeply involved in quail egg production. According to him, he entered the quail egg production business about 11 months ago. However, he has been raising quail birds for domestic consumption for nearly two years now. He emphasized that his introduction to these birds came through his Pastor, Rev. Ebenezer Amartey Ahuakese of the Church of Pentecost, Dansoman PIWC, who had ventured into quail farming several years ago.
He says, “The quail egg business has been smooth. People who know about the eggs consistently consume and recommend them to others. I feel proud of the testimonies my clients give after consuming it. At times, I am shocked by the miraculous healing it brings to people who eat it. So far, people have testified that it has helped manage their blood pressure, kidney problems, skin issues, and more. The challenge I have faced is that most people are not aware of quail eggs and are accustomed to regular chicken eggs. These eggs need greater publicity and awareness”.
