We have become men
seeking answers in open spaces
where the bellies of gluttons reside
and pain, allies to grudges of the past
We have become weak and vulnerable in senses
baked in stagnant woes of longing burns
unloved by our own selves
and misers to the feeding of our numbered souls
We have become men at war with the wind
looting in unriped rains
hoarding gestures meant for today
and wheeling love as an auction awaiting the giantly bid
We have become O'men
in old garments
with hidden scars
and crying tears in the night rains.
We are who we are
and,
In trying to find rhythms to the secrets that confronts us,
we have become perceived thinkers
imagining vain things
which are untrue
and unjust, thereby making us seekers that lack understanding.
We have become men
pained at birth
and unable to find peace
because we have become chasers of tomorrow
daring ghostly currencies
that whisk away as sinking sand.
We are just men on the plains of time
being bullied by unreal captions that never was
and stamped as artefacts of loose talkers.
