Top Ghanaian personalities, including celebrated actor James Gardiner, Ghanaian-American comedian Michael Blackson, renowned filmmaker Fred Nuamah, and KOD, come together with the Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Tourism Authority, Maame Efua Houadjeto, to unveil the highly anticipated Ghana Gold Pendant.

Held at the Accra International Conference Centre, the unveiling marks a significant cultural milestone aimed at promoting Ghana’s identity, craftsmanship, and global image.

The grand ceremony, organised by MentraxOro Jewellery, attracts dignitaries from the diplomatic corps, top government officials, CEOs, and creative industry leaders. A representative from the Ga Mantse Palace also joins in the historic celebration, reinforcing the cultural significance of the event. Popular media personality Serwaa Amihere steers the ceremony as the MC, adding glamour and energy to the night.

The Ghana Gold Pendant, crafted proudly in Ghana with intricate artistry, symbolizes national pride, unity, and the country's rich heritage. It serves as a beacon for Ghana’s tourism, arts, and culture on the global stage. The initiative, dubbed “Experience Ghana: Gateway to Africa,” seeks to amplify Ghana’s position as a leading cultural and heritage tourism destination on the continent.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Victor Wellrich, Head of Marketing at Mentrax refinery, emphasises that the launch showcases the depth of Ghanaian excellence and is part of broader efforts to promote tourism, arts, and culture through innovative, proudly made-in-Ghana initiatives.

Guests enjoy a night filled with live music, cultural performances, and artistic showcases, all celebrating Ghana’s vibrant creative spirit. With the symbolic Independence Arch featured prominently, the event resonates with the theme of positioning Ghana as the gateway to Africa and highlights the nation's growing influence on the world stage.
