Appeal to Parliament to correct errors misrepresenting MP for Trobu, Hon. Gloria Owusu

We, the Patriotic Trobu Youth Alliance, wish to bring to the attention of the Parliament of Ghana a critical issue regarding the misrepresentation of our esteemed Member of Parliament, Hon. Gloria Owusu, in the official parliamentary records.

It has come to our notice that the official Parliament of Ghana website contains errors regarding the academic credentials of our MP. This is deeply concerning, as it does not reflect the true qualifications of our representative.

For the record, Hon. Gloria Owusu holds a degree in Human Resource Management from the University of Ghana, Legon. This, she emphatically confirmed this during the Asempa FM Community Watch program held in Trobu on Friday, 3rd May 2024, where she addressed the issue in a live video broadcast.

However, the Parliamentary website incorrectly lists her qualification as a Diploma in Evangelism. Reference can be made to the interview https://youtu.be/8KRiPR4JQL4

Such an error is not only misleading but also has the potential to negatively impact the reputation of our MP, the NPP party she represents and, by extension, the constituents she serves. We believe that parliamentary records must be accurate and factual to uphold transparency and integrity in governance.

We, therefore, strongly appeal to Parliament to immediately rectify this error to ensure that the official records correctly represent the academic qualifications of our MP.

For quick reference, the link to the parliamentary website where the misrepresentation appears is provided below:

We trust that Parliament, as the highest legislative body in the country, will act swiftly to address this matter in the spirit of fairness, truth, and justice.
