
The Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) has launched a manhunt for Albert Nii Kpakpo Addotey, who is wanted for allegedly defrauding by false pretences.
In an official statement dated February 14, 2025, EOCO called on the general public to assist in locating Addotey, urging anyone with relevant information to come forward.
According to the anti-graft agency, Addotey is being pursued as part of an ongoing investigation into financial misconduct. His alleged actions are believed to have defrauded unsuspecting individuals of significant sums of money.
“The above-named person is wanted by the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) for the alleged offence of Defrauding by False Pretences,” the agency’s statement read.
EOCO advised that anyone with information about his whereabouts should report to its Head Office, situated near the Old Parliament House on Barnes Road, Accra. Reports can also be made at any EOCO Regional Office or the nearest police station.
The agency has provided two dedicated hotlines—0242902586 and 0579709066—for citizens to relay any information that could lead to Addotey’s arrest.
EOCO has reiterated its commitment to combating financial fraud and ensuring accountability. The agency assured the public that all information provided will be treated with strict confidentiality.
As the search for Albert Nii Kpakpo Addotey continues, EOCO is urging citizens to remain alert and report any leads that may aid in his capture.
