Prez John Mahama: Dismantling the Demonic Kayayo Cartel and Business is No Rocket Science! Cooperatives as Sanctuaries Address It!

Dismantling the Kayayo cartel and business is achievable through the establishment of cooperatives as sanctuaries. By forming cooperatives, we can provide safe havens for Kayayei, offering them opportunities for education, skill development, and economic empowerment. These cooperatives will serve as platforms for collective action, enabling Kayayei to pool resources, access financial support, and create sustainable livelihoods.

Key Steps to Achieve This:
1. Formation of Cooperatives: Establish cooperatives in urban areas where Kayayei operate, providing them with a structured and supportive environment.

_Proverb: "A single bracelet does not jingle."_
2. Education and Training: Offer educational programs and vocational training to equip Kayayei with skills for alternative employment.

_Proverb: "An empty sack cannot stand upright."_
3. Financial Support: Provide access to microfinance through women banking as promised during campaigns and other financial services to help Kayayei start small businesses and become economically independent.

_Proverb: "A river that forgets its source will soon dry up."_

4. Advocacy and Awareness: Raise awareness about the plight of Kayayei and advocate for policies that protect their rights and promote their welfare.

_Proverb: "A man who uses force is afraid of reasoning."

5. Resettlement Programs: Develop resettlement programs to assist Kayayei in returning to their homes of origin. This includes providing housing, job opportunities, and community support to ensure a smooth transition.

_Proverb: "When the frog in front falls in a pit, others behind take caution."

Recommendations and Suggestions:
- Government Support: The government should provide financial and logistical support to cooperatives and resettlement programs. This includes grants, subsidies, and infrastructure development.

_Proverb: "A farmer does not leave a hole open for the rain to enter."_

- Public-Private Partnerships: Encourage collaboration between the government, private sector, and non-governmental organizations to create sustainable solutions for Kayayei.

_Proverb: "A knife that has no handle is dangerous to both the owner and the enemy."_

- Community Involvement: Engage local communities in the planning and implementation of cooperatives and resettlement programs to ensure they meet the needs of Kayayei.

_Proverb: "A scorpion stings with its tail, but the corruption of the powerful stings with the head and heart."_

- Monitoring and Evaluation: Establish mechanisms to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of cooperatives and resettlement programs, making adjustments as needed to achieve desired outcomes.

_Proverb: "The axe forgets, but the tree remembers."

Together, we can create a brighter future for Kayayei and dismantle the exploitative systems that have held them back for too long. Let's support cooperatives as sanctuaries and empower our sisters to thrive!

Biblical Quotation
"Give to everyone what you owe them: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor." - Romans 13:7

_Proverb: "If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together."_

I'm happy that President Mahama and his NDC have now seen wisdom in Dr Bawumia's policy of providing Kayayes with employable skill and want to copy. I beg them to approach Dr Bawumia for tutorials in order not to mess up because we know them.

Just in....
