Shai-Osudoku NDC congratulates Prof. Michael Kpessa-Whyte on appointment as Acting Director-General of SIGA

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Shai-Osudoku has celebrated the appointment of Prof. Michael Kpessa-Whyte as the Acting Director-General of the State Interests and Governance Authority (SIGA) by His Excellency John Dramani Mahama.

In a statement signed by the Shai-Osudoku NDC Constituency Secretary, Jones N. Ayertey, the party hailed Prof. Kpessa-Whyte’s appointment as a recognition of his exceptional leadership, academic excellence, and unwavering commitment to public service.

Prof. Kpessa-Whyte, a renowned political scientist and researcher, is widely respected for his expertise in governance and policy analysis. His new role as head of SIGA is expected to bolster the Authority’s mandate of promoting good governance, transparency, and accountability in the management of Ghana’s state-owned enterprises (SOEs).

“Prof. Kpessa-Whyte’s appointment marks a significant milestone in SIGA’s journey towards ensuring that state-owned enterprises operate efficiently and in the best interest of the Ghanaian people,” the statement read.

The Shai-Osudoku NDC expressed optimism that Prof. Kpessa-Whyte’s leadership would drive growth, development, and prosperity for the country. They emphasized that his deep understanding of governance and his passion for public service would enhance the operational efficiency of SOEs, thereby advancing Ghana’s national interests.

The statement also lauded President Mahama for his commitment to excellence in governance by appointing a highly capable individual to this critical role. “Your Excellency, thank you for your visionary leadership and for entrusting this important position to someone of Prof. Kpessa-Whyte’s caliber,” it noted.
