
In a significant development, President John Dramani Mahama has officially terminated the appointment of COP Tiwaa Addo-Danquah as the Executive Director of the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO).
Directive for Reassignment
The announcement was made by Speaker of Parliament Alban Bagbin, who stated that COP Addo-Danquah is to be reassigned in the Ghana Police Service.
She has been instructed to hand over her responsibilities and return to the Ghana Police Headquarters for her new role.
Background on COP Tiwaa Addo-Danquah
COP Addo-Danquah took on the role of EOCO Executive Director on January 5, 2022, succeeding Steve Raymond Dapaa-Addo, who was appointed as Director-General of EOCO in July 2021. Prior to her position at EOCO, she served as the Director-General of the Police Professional and Standards Bureau.
Notable Achievements
Joining the Ghana Police Service in 1990, COP Addo-Danquah has made history as the first woman Commandant of the Ghana Police Command and Staff College (GPCSC) in Winneba. Her extensive experience also includes roles as an administrator at the Police Hospital and heading the Commercial Crime Unit within the Criminal Investigations Department (CID).
